yes, I'm still thinking of giving up . Don't worry, I haven't left yet, when I do you'll know ( I'll be gone next week for spring break. That doesn't mean I won't be back!). Why am I still thinking of giving up? I feel like members who are until recently inactive on this forum are suggesting this forum has been doing a bad job. Perhaps it has not been noticed that TEA has had some rules for over two years, some logical rules? Like application processes and the manner in which new boards are created? These things haven't changed, not because I'm lazy or uncreative, but because we have a very good style at TEA. We have talked about changes on this board. I redesigned this forum receiving nothing but compliments on it's layout, if there really is a problem say so. We talked about creating a GUA thread. That was done. How much was it posted in? How much substance did we put in it? Now nobody posts there...just a few short weeks later, and I'm kind of ebarrassed we created a thread. This board used to have 220 members and sections for Galaxis, KoC, O-Game, Hyperiums, and believe it or not there have been occasional mentions of Last Knights. When I redesigned the forums, guess what? I removed the boards that weren't used. If you want a good forum, stop arguing with the leadership without reason. Stop calling me incompitant. Start posting. Start following through or attempting to carry out some good ideas to get more members. Yes, I know, we all have a life. Some of you know how much work I do; some of you think I'm a lazy admin. I might remind you that I read ALL of the threads on this forum (call me obsessive) and I know when there's a new app. Just wait until I get out of class or until I wake up! does that answer your question? Kaiser

hmm... I see... I understand your feeling but I never called you incompetent, nor did I hear that from any of the TEA/hyperiums clan, and the forum is fine, except as far as I am concerned for the big gap between the shoutbox and the start of the threads, but maybe that just can't be changed, you are the expert in that I would not know about GUA or KoC, that's long gone history for me. I am not sure about the usefullness of a hyperiums section, since the old one never was used I think not, but lastknights seems to have need for a section as ploor and puffy are exploring that and need a place to post So we have to be flexible and evolve with the movement of time, indicating that several members are playing several games, but started to come back here after your initial revival efforts, and others followed in their wake, like bliss, funky and arnaken showed interest also. I have been giving out our web address to people I concidered possible good new members anyway I think we must carry on as a multi-game alliance, and we need you as our obsessive admin, please don't give up

Kaiser is both obsessive and paranoic! ;D I agree the big gap is a nuisance. The icons of navigational bar are too small at the top, perhaps make them bigger so that it's more obvious. When click Login, there should be a big sign on box; having to scroll down is painful (yes I know I'm using 800x600 res). Don't give up, you're a good admin.

I didn't make the icons at the top (home, help, search, etc). I have coded this board to the best of my ability and I'm sorry I can't do better :$ Go check out your last knights section. Create threads and if you tell me to sticky them I'll do so. I'll even sticky the important ones anyway

I guarantee if we get more people this place would pick up, sounds really silly and obvious, but it's the truth

so I guess the trick is to offer enough that is interesting to a diverse type of people, and they will come barging in eventually

Post by Mr. D. V. Devnull on Apr 24, 2006 11:28:08 GMT -5
Hello, it is quiet ol' Devnull checking in... Unluckily, life has dropped hell on me, KoC got to be too much of a pain to play, Galaxis has gone offline until V 2.0, and Jagex has F***ED (sorry for the language, however bleeped) up RuneScape to the point that I can no longer play it properly... So I am totally out of action... I got the note from Akula about The Last Knights, but looking at that website, I am EXTREMELY turned off by that game... there's no screenshots to look at or anything to tell me if I really want to give it a try or not... worse, it looks like another situation similar to KoC or Galaxis that requires sticking to timetables, and my family (who I still live with) is going to do everything to screw that up that they possibly can, so I can't join anyway... Sorry guys, but it looks like I am stuck just simply another forum member who's had to hang up their hat, so I hope you'll still let me visit and read and post to what's here instead of ejecting me...
